My granddaughter is covered by the Student Health Services insurance. She broke her wrist in April while participating in game at Student Rec Center. She was seen by physicians at Student Health Services, x-rays were taken. She has received a bill from UAB Medicine for these x-rays and a bill from DJO for $407.54 for a short arm fracture brace. The statement shows that United Health Care Student paid $0.00. Why was this not covered? Why have the insurance and use Student Health Services if services not going to be covered?? Would like to speak to someone regarding this matter.
