UAB's residence halls are located near the Campus Green – and all within three city blocks of each other, making for a very close-knit community. There are so many great reasons why you should live on campus – you'll make life-long friends, have a built-in support system, and live close to everything.

My daughter is moving into Blazer Hall on Saturday
My son has moved into Blazer Hall on 13 of August. It was so empty and easy to move him in.
My daughter moved into Blazer Hall and she loves it!
My son is a transferred student so he can not live on campus, has to live off campus we have not been able to find a place for him off campus as of today, we live too far from Birmingham, his first day of school is August 26....see more

My daughter missed the deadline for on-campus housing, is there a wait list or recommendations for close to campus housing?
I paid the housing deposit in Jan. There was supposed to be priority selection for rooms in June if everything was paid by Feb. I realize COVID-19 may have affected this, but we have not received anything about room selection...see more
Jennifer, have you tried University Housing? We missed the deadline as well but we’re able to get an apartment with University Housing.
Any updates about the students getting to choose which building they prefer to be assigned to (those that paid before the deadline)?
I have also paid the deposit before the deadline but we have not heard anything about picking the dorm my son will be in.
Does anyone know if the windows in the dorms can be opened for fresh air?

When will we find out which dorm they will reside in?
Based on comments we should know what residence hall we are in but we haven't heard anything yet. Should we call someone?
We still don’t have a dorm assignment and she’s supposed to move in next week. We have a freshman, so on campus living is required. Does anyone know who I can contact about this?

Please have your student continue to check their UAB email. Since your student is a returning student they will be sending that message later today or tomorrow.
Is there anyway I can find out the housing assignments for the non traditional freshman students, we are on the waiting list.
I he an email from family hub and clicked a link to register for the Ian housing seminar, but I don’t get taken to a registration page and that isn’t listed as one of the seminars on the lobnet list.
